Description of Villa Aploma

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms

Villa Aploma Overview

The first impression of this unique property is that you have arrived in a little corner of paradise: nestled in a lush garden, you have two delightful whitewashed houses, their blue shutters mirroring your very first glimpse of the pool.

Villa Aploma is perfect for that special holiday with your extended family or small group of friends, as the accommodation for up to 8 guests is split over the two houses; perhaps one for each family group, or one house for living the other for cooking and eating.

Just as unique as the villa is the location, a slightly elevated position set in the quiet forest of Sani - you would never know that the beach was just 500m away.

Your first impression of the property follows you inside, each room luxuriously furnished and decorated in white with the signature-blue finishing touches on the drapes, scatter cushions, bedding and even the kettles! There are three extremely spacious bedrooms, two twins, one with doors opening on to the garden terrace, the other with light streaming in through windows on three sides, and one double, all with ample storage space and private bathrooms. The two bright and airy lounges have sumptuous corner sofas, scatter cushions and satellite tv. The larger of the buildings house features an excellently fitted kitchen and dining area with shuttered windows overlooking the pool and door opening onto the terrace.  There is a small boutique style kitchenette with a dining table in the other.

Outside the terraced gardens are extensive, fully enclosed and exquisitely planted, ensuring your privacy at all times. There is a covered terrace with a splendid white table seating 10, great for lazy breakfasts or leisurely evening meals, small tables can be found under a beautiful old maple tree, children will love the bright blue picnic table and chairs secreted around the corner.

There are sun loungers, parasols and tables for relaxing at all times of the day, some in full sun, others in the shade with others around the large geometric infinity pool. The gardens are beautifully lit in the evening with only the sound of the crickets to be heard while you relax at the end of your day.

Should you arrive by car or hire one for the duration of your stay, covered parking is available on site.

Villa Aploma Location

Situated on the Kassandra peninsula, the first of three peninsulas of Halkidiki, Sani enjoys fabulous views across the Aegean to Mount Olympus and mainland Greece.

Along this stunning 7km stretch of coastline, the mature pine trees of Sani forest reach right down to the beautiful shallow sandy beach only 500m from your front door, a 5-minute walk or 1 minute by car if loaded with all that is required for a day at the beach. Sani beach offers the opportunity for many hours of sunbathing or enjoying water-based activities, swimming, snorkelling and diving in the crystal waters being favourites.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach to Sani village to visit the local minimarket, the small shops, café’s, tavernas and restaurants and to the magnificent Sani Marina; with its fabulous shops and restaurants, boats of all shapes and sizes from small traditional fishing boats to the most spectacular of yachts and cruisers, the marina will draw you again and again.  Go on, take a seat, have a coffee and watch the boats and the world go by.

It is well worth hiring a car to enjoy the whole of the Halkidiki peninsula to visit other fabulous golden beaches and admire the magnificent ancient sites.  Not far from Sani, just across the peninsula, is the very beautiful traditional village of Afytos with its cobbled streets, stone houses and Orthodox Christian Churches. Nea Poteidaia is a small village founded in 1922; of particular significance is the bridge over the medieval canal, most likely dug by the Romans which actually makes Kassandra an island. The village is now a busy tourist resort in summer attracting visitors to its beautiful beach.  Nea Moudania is the most dynamic community of southern Halkidiki - a vibrant, busy place with larger shops, traditional cafés and banks. At sunset, this is the place to be to enjoy the truly breathtaking sight that is the sun setting behind Mount Olympus.

Spend your holiday at Villa Aploma, and you can be assured that all of your senses will be awakened during your stay; with the magnificent sights, the fabulous scent of pine from the forest, and sound. Well, it is so peaceful, all you hear is the lapping of water on the shore and the birds singing in the trees.
