Situated in a gorgeous unspoiled area in the north of Zakynthos Island, next to Agios Nikolaos marina, Villa Nero is a magical blend of fabulous natural materials and luxury. Panoramic views overlooking the vineyard and crystal clear, turquoise sea and towards the lovely island of Kefalonia, make this a breathtaking, splendid location for a peaceful relaxing holiday. With two sublime bedrooms, Villa Nero offers accommodation for 4 guests though an additional guest could make use of the sofabed in the living area. This is a single storey villa accessible to all. It has a wonderful, harmonious feel to it, both inside and out. The design is minimalistic, free-flowing and environmental. The natural materials, attractive ceilings, modern kitchen and bathrooms and excellent vision provides a fantastic warm ambience. You will feel indulged yet completely comfortable. The specially adapted bathroom and wide doorways that assist guests with disabilities in no way detracts from the gorgeous appeal of this villa. The villa’s use of traditional stone and wood is completed in a thoroughly modern way.  The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is bright and beautiful, opening to the terrace through two sets of doors. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The vaulted ceiling in this room is absolutely fabulous with attractive wooden beams. Both of the marvelous bedrooms enjoy lovely sea views. One has a double bed and the other twins. Both are relaxing havens with atmospheric sloping wooden ceilings and stone around the windows. The walk-in shower rooms are excellent, one very roomy for disabled guests. The terrace is delightful, enjoying the fabulous views, while providing an area for alfresco dining and sun lounging. The infinity pool with hydro-massage is gorgeous. This villa is so joyful and will provide an excellent, relaxing stay.

Villa Nero Location

Villa Nero occupies an enviable position on the hillside above the small port of Agios Nikolaos 2.5km away. The villa has direct access to the sea by way of a stone path constructed with great care leading down to the sea and the impressive Priest’s cave. From the villa, you can enjoy magnificent views of Vasilikos and Alykes Bay as well as out to the Peloponnese and Kefalonia shores. From the Agios Nikolaos port you can travel to the beautiful island of Kefalonia in one hour. Small boats also take tourists to nearby Cape Skinari, the northernmost point of the island and the Blue Caves below the villa. The Blue Caves are famous for the reflection and diffusion of sunlight within the caves, turning the water into an impressive azure translucent blue. The villa is situated on private land of over 40000 sqm just above the Blue Caves and a 20 minute boat ride to the spectacular Shipwreck Beach.

You will feel like you have stepped back in time in the northern part of Zakynthos. It is far removed from the buzzy southern towns of Laganas, Kalamaki and Zante Town. The rugged countryside is lush, beautiful and heartening.

The real name of Shipwreck Beach is Navagio Beach. It is incredibly picturesque with the 256 feet sheer limestone cliffs in the background and features on many posters. The beach can only be reached by boat though you can park at the top of the cliffs for photograph opportunities. The wrecked ship imbedded in the sand is particularly fun for children.

The unspoilt Makris Gialos and Xygia Beaches are close by. Xigia Beach is known for its therapeutic sulphur springs rich in collagen that flow up from the sea bed.
