Villa Kaymaros occupies a prime, privileged spot overlooking the beautiful Bay of Keri and Marathonisi Island, known as Turtle Island. Keri is one of the most scenic destinations in the south of Zakynthos and is formed by Keri Lake by the sea and an enchanting village at the top of the hill. The village of narrow cobbled streets and traditional stone houses offers friendly tavernas, cafes, shops and mini-markets. Keri Lake took its name from the wetland, home to many animal and plant species. From the village’s small port, guests can hire boats, visit Keri Caves and dive into the crystal clear turquoise water.

No expense has been spared with this newly built villa. It boasts three bedrooms, sleeping seven guests in pure luxury though you can also use the sofabed in the living room for a couple of extra guests. The open plan living and dining room is a total wonder with its high vaulted ceiling and sumptuous furnishings in neutral colour tones, and turquoise colour pops. Its wall of glass doors drenches the room in natural light and brings the outside in at the same time as offering fabulous views. The chef’s dream of a kitchen is incredibly stylish with a sociable breakfast bar where guests can keep the chef company.

You cannot fail to smile when entering the bedrooms. They are beautifully styled, heavenly retreats where you will sleep in luxurious comfort. Two of the bedrooms enjoy immaculate ensuite shower rooms, and the other has use of a third exceptional family bathroom. In these indulgent spaces, Korres bathroom products, bathrobes and slippers are offered. The luxury linens that adorn the beds and the towels are changed every two days. Each of the lavish bedrooms offers a superbly comfortable queen-size bed.

The landscaped gardens are an absolute delight. With architectural manicured plants, lush lawns, ancient gnarled olives and colourful mature planting, the gardens are super relaxing and very pretty. There is a special children’s playground for the young ones and an absolutely sensational terrace. Clear glass screens surround the terrace to ensure the gorgeous sea views are totally uninterrupted. It is smart, luxurious and beautiful. A plush double daybed sits in the perfect position to enjoy the gorgeous panorama. The 10 m x 5 m infinity swimming pool offers pure joy with a fabulous waterfall feature, in-pool hydro and air massage and sensational views.

To one side, you will find a contemporary sun deck and, to the other, a hot tub where you can indulge yourselves with glasses of champagne and panoramic vistas. The alfresco dining area is also wonderful with its outdoor kitchen and barbecue area amongst the olive trees. Beautiful furnishings and hammocks are scattered around the lush gardens. Villa Kaymaros Location

Villa Kaymaros occupies an exclusive, privileged spot overlooking the Bay of Keri and Marathonisi Island, otherwise known as Turtle Island. Guests can follow a path from the villa to go for a swim. There is a delightful pedestrianised walk along the sea front and a small port. The views from the lighthouse across to Myzithres, two large rocky formations in the sea are beautiful. The enchanting, tranquil village of Keri at the top of the hill is very picturesque with cobbled streets lined with tavernas, cafes, bars and some shops.

While staying in this stunning location you really must rent a boat to visit Turtle Island, opposite the villa. You can enjoy the beautiful, clear, turquoise water and if you are lucky you may see the endangered Caretta turtles that swim around the island. You could also learn to scuba dive and admire the magnificent underwater world.

Towards Laganas, Agios Sostis is a charming, quaint coastal Greek village. Like Keri, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and was named after a 16th century church dedicated to Saint Sostis. The village has a stunning backdrop of the mountains and a delightful beach. There are some waterfront charismatic bars and restaurants where you will receive a very warm welcome. You can also hire a boat from Agios Sostis over to Marathonissi Island.

Laganas is one of the two main tourist hotspots on Zakynthos along with Zante Town. Kalamaki is not far behind, though it is a little more laid-back. There is a good choice of restaurants at all of these resorts. The main street of Laganas runs along the lovely beachfront to Kalamaki. The 5km beach is wonderful with fine, silvery sand lined with sun loungers and parasols. Pedalos and boat trips are available to catch a glimpse of the protected Caretta turtles swimming around the bay. The beaches are part of the National Marine Park. The rare Caretta turtles lay their eggs in the sands of Gerakas, Dafni, Kalamaki, Marathonisi and Sakania, east of Laganas.

Most of the houses, shops and buildings in Zante Town were rebuilt after the destructive earthquake of 1953. Solomos Square is a focal spot with many restaurants and bars and the interesting Byzantine Museum and Cultural Center. Bochali is a 2km stroll from the centre of Zante Town. The panoramic views are stunning of the pretty harbour, Argassi and the Bay of Laganas. The charming alleys are lined with traditional cafes and old houses. The castle at the top of the hill is well maintained and a popular attraction. Delicious wines can be tasted and bought at Solomos Wines distillery.The cellars are very attractive and worth a visit.
