Villa Drosoula Overview

For an idyllic family-friendly holiday head to Villa Drosoula – a charming two-bedroom villa on the Ionian island of Kefalonia. The villa is in a peaceful spot and boasts fantastic views of the bay and harbour village of Fiskardo below. Tranquil and private, the building is surrounded by beautiful, landscaped gardens, which are dotted with an abundance of vibrant flowers, plants and trees.

The exterior of the villa is decorated traditionally Mediterranean in style with wooden shutters and terracotta-tile roofs. Inside, the furnishings are modern and natural with cream-coloured walls and plenty of light coming in through the glass windows and doors. Set on two floors, there are two large bedrooms on the lower level, both with king-size beds and stylish marble-clad en-suite bathrooms.

Please note:- The villa is one of three identical villas and photos may not be of the actual villa you stay in, therefore views may slightly differ.

On the upper level, there’s a comfortably sized living room, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and coffee and tea making facilities, plus an eating area and a guest WC with laundry facilities. The living room leads onto a balcony with seating and a table for dining al fresco while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and serene views of the village and coastline below.

Outside, the tranquil situation of the villa is evident with green gardens, a private pool and a terrace. There are several loungers and chairs for you to relax on in the sun or the shade. For a stress-free home from home stay, the owners have though of everything with a housekeeping and linen service available too. Plus, there’s a daily continental breakfast and car hire service, should you like it.

For exploring the local area, there are four bicycles for use during your stay at Villa Drosoula. Fiskardo village, is a short walk or cycle, where there’s a beach near the harbour, pretty pastel buildings and waterside shops and restaurants. The best of both worlds, Villa Drosoula is perfect for a quiet rural retreat, yet is still ideally placed for discovering more of what Kefalonia has to offer.

Villa Drosoula Location

Villa Drosoula is in Fiskardo, a charming village on Kefalonia's northern tip. Think pastel-coloured Venetian buildings, a quaint fishing harbour and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands, with its sparkling azure waters, dazzling beaches and deep emerald green mountains – making it a popular holiday spot for families, friends and couples alike.

You can head into the picturesque port of Fiskardo, which is a short walk. There are charming 18th century buildings, which give it a feeling of timelessness, alongside popular fish restaurants and boutiques. The nearest beach is Foki Beach, a pebble bay surrounded by a tall forest. The waters are calm, sheltered and clear, making them perfect for swimming and snorkelling. There are also beautiful underground lakes and caves around the island for you to discover.
From Fiskardo it’s an hour to the island’s capital Argostoli. There you can stroll through the markets and pick up unique souvenirs, watch the fishermen bring in their catch at the harbour or pay a visit to the Corgialenios Historical and Cultural Museum, where there’s an extensive library of rare books.

For lunch or dinner, there’s a central square, lined with plenty of local cafés, bars and restaurants.

Kefalonia is a short distance from Ithaca, another Greek island in the Ionian Sea. To get there, there’s a daily ferry that departs from the port of Sami in Kefalonia or there is a limited service from Fiscardo. You can also hop on a boat to see the nearby islands of Meganisi, Scorpio and Lefkas, and stop off at pristine beaches for swimming.
