Villa Athiri Overview

Located in Kalithies, Villa Athiri boasts stunning sea and mountain views, perfect for a holiday escape with your family or friends. The villa was built in 2015, designed to maximise access to the views and to provide for your every comfort. With balconies and a vast open terrace, outdoor living is a must, making the most of the warm, relaxing Grecian climate throughout each day and evening as well as taking time to enjoy the local area.

Villa Athiri offers space for eight guests, with large open-plan living areas and beautiful, modern bedrooms. The entire villa is equipped with air-conditioning, WiFi and flat-screen televisions for your comfort, so from the moment you arrive you can sit back and relax, leaving any worries behind. All four of the stylish bedrooms boast en-suite bathrooms and plenty of storage for your belongings, creating private spaces for you to enjoy alone or as a couple.

The rest of the villa adopts the same contemporary styles, with sleek furnishings, considered lighting and carefully frames views, bringing the Grecian landscapes indoors. The ground floor boasts a large, open-plan living area, with sliding glass doors out to the terrace, so the indoors and outdoors meld together, creating one large entertaining area.

The kitchen adopts a sophisticated feel, with all modern appliances, and plenty of room for guests to cook together. The indoor dining table sits next to the kitchen, with low, warm lighting creating an intimate feel, even in this open-plan space. Adjacent to the dining area, comfortable sofas are arranged around a flat-screen television, perfect for cosy evenings in, or when you need a break from the Grecian sun.

From the living area, you can stroll out onto the sunny terrace, basking in the sunlight and admiring the breath-taking views. A dining table sits under the shade of a pergola, with a barbecue for grilling fresh fish and cooking as a family! Offering plenty of outdoor seating, sun loungers and a glistening private swimming pool, Villa Athiri has room for everyone to relax in the sun, an idyllic Grecian retreat.

Villa Athiri Location

Situated between Lindos and Rhodes town and just a 5-minute drive from the blue flag awarded beach of Afantou. The Anthony Quinn bay is just 2 miles away. Hugely popular as a tourist destination, Rhodes is an island with more than its fair share of natural beauty and landmark sights.

The town of Rhodes, a 10-mile drive, is as good a place to start as any and lies on the northern tip of the island. A walk along the medieval walls of the Old Town will offer you some beautiful views, accessible from the must-see Palace of the Grand Masters. Part of a World Heritage Site, this is also the location of a fine museum which offers the chance to familiarise yourself with Rhodian history, extending as far back as the 3rd century BC.

Another museum worth checking out is the Museum of Modern Greek Art, with an eclectic collection only rivalled by Athens. The New Town area is visually appealing itself, with an Art Deco influence present in much of its architecture. Mandráki harbour is the home of Evangelismós Cathedral, where you can find some impressive frescoes.

The Lindos Acropolis is as spectacular as the coastal views it enjoys, and worth seeing. Down the coast, you also have resorts such as Ammoudes, Kolympia and, perhaps best-known, Faliraki. While its reputation may precede it, this is not the hedonism capital it once was. A children’s water-park and the beautiful Anthony Quinn Bay may tempt you there during the day, and an aquarium and scuba-diving school also embrace the aquatic theme.

At the very southern tip of the island, Prasonisi’s location – dividing the Aegean and the Mediterranean – is considered prime windsurfing territory. But if that sounds a little too exhilarating, Rhodes’ more sedate attractions like the Valley of the Butterflies, numerous wineries and the seven springs of the wonderfully scenic Epta Piges nature reserve, will provide just as pleasant a day out.
