Description of Villa Lota

6 Bedrooms, 8 Bathrooms

Villa Lota Overview

The glistening, green-blue waters of the Aegean play a crucial role in this villa, with picture-frame windows drawing the panoramic sea views inside. Whether sitting on the terrace, cooking indoors or making your way down the rocks to the ocean's entrance, Villa Lota offers a magical holiday escape, a luxury treat for the whole family.

Located in the charming area of Kanalia, in the south-western part of Mykonos island, the villa juts out gracefully from the rocky coastline and protrudes out into the mystical Aegean. Less than 15-minutes from the bustling town of Mykonos, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds, with complete privacy in the villa itself and lively local shops and restaurants a short drive away!

The villa's interior is styled with contemporary art and elegant white furnishings, curating a blend of luxury features with home comforts. The atmosphere is utterly relaxed because the layout has ease in mind. A large living room flows effortlessly into a relaxed dining space and fully-equipped, modern kitchen, so the whole group can come together and spend quality time. As you meander through each living space, the views follow you around, creating a breath-taking panorama throughout the building!

Whilst the open-plan living areas offer themselves up for entertaining and socialising, the six en-suite double bedrooms aim to be a quiet sanctuary for fourteen guests to enjoy peaceful moments alone. With luxurious beds, air-conditioning, and charming views, a good night's sleep is awaiting you!

Villa Lota's outdoor spaces embrace the breath-taking, natural surroundings. Guests can indulge in the impressive L-shaped infinity pool that stretches around the spacious terrace and towards the horizon. Al-fresco meals are a must, with a large barbecue and a picturesque pergola-shaded dining area, positioned perfectly for admiring the views.

The highlight of this superb villa is its positioning on the waters' edge, and guests can follow a flight of stairs down to a concrete platform with sunbeds right on the sea and meet their private dock for the summer!

Villa Lota Location

Villa Lota is located in Kanalia, in the southwestern part of the island and perched on the rocky coastline, with incredible panoramic views of the sapphire Aegean Sea.

The main advantage is that you spend quiet moments when you need to in the comfort of your private and secluded villa, yet you still have easy access to Mykonos Town (about 5km away). There you’ll find plenty of things to see and do including cultural sites, shops and restaurants.

Mykonos is one of the most popular islands in Greece due to its welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere, pristine sandy beaches and traditional whitewashed buildings. You can explore Little Venice – quaint buildings right on the water’s edge – vibrant Matoyianni Street with boutique and Instagram-worthy shops – and take some photos of the iconic windmills in Mykonos Town. For a cultural visit, there’s the Aegean Maritime Museum and the historic church of Paraportiani.

In Mykonos Town, you can stroll along the narrow streets and browse the beautiful buildings and shops. When you’re peckish or thirsty, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and fantastic sunset bars for drinks. Look out for traditional Greek Moussaka. Many more sandy spots, including Platys Gialos Beach, 5km southeast of Mykonos Town.

Mykonos is the jumping-off point for island exploring. The nearby island of Delos is a favourite choice due to its beautiful coastline, clear swimming waters and historical and archaeological site.
