Spinalonga Villas 8 is nestled in a wonderful spot that strikes just the right balance between remote and populated, on the craggy northern coast of Crete, in the beautiful Elounda region.

Elounda is a well-heeled holiday destination with a smattering of fishing villages, local style tavernas and a few luxurious spa retreats. Elounda village was formerly a pretty fishing village overlooking the wonderful Mirabello Bay, is today a stylish holiday destination, attracting royals, celebrities and dignitaries.

Not overly crowded with tourists, it brims with local flavour, offering a spectacular coastline and clear waters. Many of the little surrounding villages are worth visiting: Mavrikiano, Plaka, Skisma, offering a trip inland through the mountains and a window into traditional Crete life, while the archaeological past of the region is intriguing.
