Two Turkish coast guard vessels pursued a Greek coast guard boat near the port of Mytilene, capital of Lesvos Island.

According to Lesvos News, the Greek boat was in Greek territorial waters assisting an inflatable boat carrying asylum seekers that had run into trouble.

While the Greek boat tied the inflatable boat and began to tow it to the Port of Mytilene, two Turkish coast guard vessels appeared and started dangerous maneuvers that threatened the safety of the Greek crew, and the asylum seekers.

Lesvos News reports that the Turkish vessels harassed and pursued the Greek boat; almost until they reached the port of Mytilene, at which point they made a U-turn back towards Turkey.
