Dying a Black Death in the Saronic Gulf: Distressing Images of Animals Glued to Oil

Environmental groups are battling against time to save as many animals as they can in the Saronic Gulf, after the oil spillage caused by the sinking of a tanker last Sunday.

Unfortunately for many birds, fish and turtles, it is too late as photos posted on social media by volunteers and journalists suggest.

Environmental groups warn that Greece is unprepared to deal with marine disasters.
