Greece’s new car registrations rose in August

Îťew car registrations rose by 31.3% y-o-y in August in Greece, with the number of new or imported second hand cars in circulation amounting to 10,549.According to the statistics office or ELSTAT in August 2016, the corresponding rate of change was +14.1% Sales of new cars alone advanced 21.7% in August. In the January-Aug period, the new car registration firmed 19.4%, with sales of new cars rising 9.6%.

Sales of new or imported second-hand motorcycles-over 50cc- firmed 19.9% in August, amounting to 2,612, with the sales of new motorcycles declining 24.1%.

In the first eight months of the year, sales of motorcycles fell by 22.0% while the sales of new were 24.1% down.
