őônternational tourist arrivals excl. cruises grew by 6.6% y-o-y to 7.94m in H1’17 , with related tourist receipts (excl. cruises) up 7.4% to €3.95bn. According to data provided by the Bank of Greece receipts from Germany, France and the UK rose by 15.4%, 17.3% and 4.6% y-o-y to €688m, €277m and €630m, respectively, while receipts from US fell by 11% to €239m, and those from Russia increased by 10.7% to €121m.
In terms of origin, travelers from Germany and the UK were up 18% and 3.2% y-o-y to 1.05m and 0.96m, respectively, while US tourists were down 2% y-o-y to 0.3m.
