First-half Figures Reveal Passenger Traffic Increase at Greek Airports by 10.3% Compared to 2016

According to figures released by the civil aviation authority, over 21.94 million passengers have passed through Greece’s airports from the beginning of the year up to June 30, 2017 — a dramatic increase from 19.89 million in H2 2016.

The first-half figures reveal that there has been an increase of passenger traffic in Greek airports by 10.3 percent compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Also, flights to and from Greek airports have increased this year by 0.6 percent compared to last year’s figures.

Greece has seen a great start to the official tourism season in June 2017 with an increase of passenger traffic by as much as 14.1 percent.
