The Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) announced that the Greek Economic Sentiment Indicator rose to 94 in Jun’17 from 93.2 in May’17, driven by improved expectations in the industrial, construction and services sectors, whereas those in retail sector worsened.

Consumer confidence managed to improve to -68.8 (for a 3rd month in a row) vs. -69.7 in May’17, following the improved expectations regarding unemployment.

According to IOBE, the domestic economy remains stable and expectations are essentially stagnant. A further clarification of the dynamics of the economy can be expected in the autumn if progress has been made on two crucial aspects of the programme.
