AIA offers €600m for the 20-year extension of the Athens international airport

Greece’s privatization fund HRADF announced that it has accepted an improved offer by Athens International Airport SA (AIA) regarding the extension of the current concession agreement by 20 years.

According to the announcement, the improved offer reaches a total of €600m, including corresponding VAT (net proceeds amount to €483.87m).

The draft concession agreement extension contract will be submitted to the Court of Auditors for the anticipated pre-contractual audit, while the completion of the transaction is subject to approvals by the competent European authorities and the Greek Parliament.
