Markit announced that the Greek PMI rose to 48.2 in Apr’17 from 46.7 in March’17, however still below the Markit’s critical no-change threshold of 50.

New orders intakes during April experienced an eighth successive decrease, although the rate of contraction weakened from the prior month, while firms reduced their production, also for an eighth successive month, with the rate of decline softening from March.

Additionally, Greek manufacturers further reduced their staffing numbers in April, while they continued to be faced with higher input costs.
