The lecture, scheduled at 12:00, will also discuss issues concerning modern environmental challenges and the protection of the rights of children.

The Patriarch has been in Switzerland since Thursday to participate in the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Orthodox Center of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Chambesy and the 20th anniversary since the establishment of the institute of postgraduate studies in the Center.

Bartholomew is also set to give a lecture at the University of Fribourg and visit the ecumenical monastic order of Taizé in France, in a first ever visit by an Ecumenical Patriarch.(source: ana-mpa)
