A tourist boat caught fire and finally sank 100 meters from a Mykonos coast early on Thursday morning, but all 10 people on board are safe.

The “Saint” tourist boat carrying seven passengers with a crew of three was approaching the Psarrou bay of Mykonos when a fire was detected in the engine room, according to the island Port Authority.

The ten people aboard used the rescue means of the vessel and the help from another boat to land safely. The fire spread throughout the boat until it finally sank, about 100 meters off the coast.

The Mykonos Port Authority is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
