On Friday night, masked individuals threw Molotov cocktails into a platoon of police officers guarding the offices of the PASOK political party in Exarchia in central Athens.

The incident occurred shortly before midnight on Friday evening and resulted in two nearby parked cars going up in flames. Later on in the early hours of Saturday at 1:55 a.m. and 3:55 a.m. there were reports of more attacks on a platoon of riot officers on Tositsa Street.

There were no reports of arrests in any of the incidences and there were no injuries reported.

Members of PASOK criticized the government for not better protecting it offices from such incidence as PASOK’s spokesman Pavlos Christidis tweeted Saturday, “More than 50 Molotov cocktails at Harilaou Trikoupi,” adding, “Does someone have to be killed for some people to wake up?”
