Truck Drivers Smuggling Migrants Detained by Greek Police

Greek police say they have arrested a Turkish truck driver and a Bulgarian truck driver who were carrying a total of 20 migrants near Greece’s northeastern land border with Turkey.

Among the migrants that were being smuggled across the land border were eight Pakistanis, an Iraqi and a Syrian.

Police say the number of undocumented migrants arrested crossing the land border from Turkey averages about 400 per month.

As the weather because more temperate a higher number of migrants are expected to cross the border.
