ECB lowers ELA limit by €0.1bn to €46.2bn

BoG announced yesterday that following a request to the ECB, the latter agreed to lower the ELA threshold for Greek banks by €0.1bn to €46.2bn (previously at €46.3bn) until March 22, 2017. As per the same announcement, the reduction in the ELA ceiling reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, amid a reduction of uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows.
