Talks On Further Strike Action as Archaeological Guards Battle for Demands

Cultural Minister Lydia Koniardou has found herself at odds with the union representing state guards at Greece’s archaeological sites.

The union stated on Wednesday, that they are battling for additional staff and overtime pay — demands that Koniarido has failed to meet.

Archaeological guards held a 24-hour strike on February 20, and the union is now planning a meeting to decide upon further action.
