Government sources categorically denied on Friday reports on a private television channel that the two Turkish officers who entered Greece and handed themselves in to the authorities on February 15 are being held at the headquarters of Greece’s National Intelligence Service (EYP).

The two Turkish servicemen arrived at the Orestiada police station in northeastern Greece with their lawyers and voluntarily handed themselves in, while applying for asylum in Greece.

The Ministry of Citizen Protection said the two officers are being held by Greek police in a safe area.(source: ana-mpa)
