Migrants Hosted on Warship in Mytilene Port Transferred to Moria Hotspot

The evacuation of the warship Lesvos, which was docked at the port of Mytilene since January 12 hosting 170 migrants from Africa, started earlier on Saturday.

120 migrants have already been transferred to Moria hotspot while the rest of them will be transferred later on Saturday or on Sunday morning.

The migrants were hosted on the ship to be protected from adverse weather conditions.

According to sources the warship will depart from Mytilene to return to the naval base on Monday morning.(source: ana-mpa)
