The refugee center set up within the former Softex factory is among those that are to be temporarily evacuated on Sunday. The evacuation, covering a roughly 2-kilometre radius, was decided as a safety precaution during an operation to dispose of a WWII bomb, found buried beneath a petrol station in Kordelio, Thessaloniki, Greece.

The evacuation of the center will be carried out by the Migration Policy Minister with coaches that will arrive at the center at 7 a.m. and transfer the residents to the center of Thessaloniki.

Following a request made by the refugees and migrants in the center, there will be a visit to the city’s Archaeological Museum, a ministry press release said.(source: ana-mpa)
