Greece is looking at an increase of tourists from Germany for 2017, according to data from Thomas Cook’s German subsidiary.

The data reveals that tourism from Germany is expected to increase more than 40 percent compared to 2016 as major German tourism agencies have reported that they have already had a rise in bookings for Greek holidays.

Helping the tourism sector out in Greece is the announcement of a new direct flight between Thessaloniki and Frankfurt by Condor Airlines, which is a member of the Thomas Cook group. The flight will start on May 2 and go through October 24 every Tuesday and Friday.
