Three Turkish coast guard boats on Wednesday anchored in Greek territorial waters, one mile from the Panagia island of the Oinousses complex, according to “Truth” radio station.

Reportedly, a Turkish aircraft flew over the island.

The Turkish vessels departed a few hours later, while the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and the Greek coast guard was monitoring their moves.

On Panagia there is a Greek military outpost, a church, a Greek Orthodoxy monument and most of the island is used as pasture land by Oinousses shepherds.
