Passenger Traffic Up 10.4% at Athens Airport in January 2017

Passenger traffic in the Athens International Airport grew 10.4 percent to reach 1.2 million in January this year, compared with the corresponding month in 2016.

Domestic passenger traffic eased 1.8 percent, but international passenger traffic jumped to 18.5 percent in the first month of 2017.

Also, Greek travelers grew 19 percent while foreign travelers remained unchanged compared with 2016 levels.

The number of scheduled flights totaled 11,898 in January, up 3.9 percent from January last year, of which domestic flights eased 0.2 percent and international flights rose 7.1 percent.
