President Tells British PM, Turkey’s Rhetoric on Cyprus Should be Practically Proven

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades met on Friday morning, in Malta, with the British Prime Minister Teresa May, with whom he discussed developments on the Cyprus problem.

CNA has learned that May informed Anastasiades about her recent visit to Turkey and her meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan conveying Ankara’s position that “Turkey wants a settlement” of the Cyprus problem. Anastasiades replied that Turkey`s rhetoric should be practically proven during the negotiations aiming to solve the Cyprus problem. (source: CNA)
