President Briefs National Council on Cyprus Developments Ahead of Geneva Meetings

President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades briefed on Thursday the National Council — top advisory body to the President on the Cyprus issue — on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus problem in light of next week’s meetings in Geneva.

In statements to the press after the meeting of the National Council, Deputy Government Spokesman Viktoras Papadopoulos told reporters that the National Council was fully briefed by President Anastasiades on the developments following the last meeting of the Council, as well as on the Conference on Cyprus that will take place in Geneva on January 12.

He also said that President Anastasiades will consult with the leaders of the political parties, who will accompany him to Geneva, on a daily basis regarding developments there.(source: CNA)
